Alexander Gimpelevich, DO
Dr. Gimpelevich was born and raised in Kharkov, Ukraine. Not one to shy away from an academic challenge, he obtained his bachelor's degree in biochemistry from Columbia University in 1997. After working for 2 years doing research for Mt. Sinai/ Columbia University Hospital, Dr. Gimpelevich went on to earn his doctorate in Osteopathy from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After 1 year of residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, Dr. Gimpelevich completed his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation from Long Island Jewish Hospital on Long Island. Always having been active in competitive athletics (he still plays soccer every week), & experiencing first-hand the multitude of injuries and problems that athletes endure, Dr. Gimpelevich was naturally drawn to his field of physiatry. He derives great satisfaction helping his patients not only get out of pain, but surpass their own expectations and get more out of life. On a personal level, he thrives on the challenge of "figuring out" what's causing patients' problems, & appreciates working with a team of professionals who work synergistically to help patients.
Craig R. Feuerman, MD
Dr. Feuerman has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Boston University, as well as, going on to complete his pre-medical requirements at New York University. He then attended Sackler Medical School in Tel Aviv, Israel. He completed his residency in physical medicine & rehabilitation at NYU’S Rusk Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine. Dr. Feuerman worked for a private orthopedic practice in Florida, where he gained a tremendous amount of experience working with both post-operative & pre-operative patients. Dr. Feuerman went into physical medicine because he feels this gives him the opportunity to “intervene and help patients early, unlike so many fields in medicine where the damage is already done.” He finds this prophylactic approach to physical medicine most rewarding. In his spare time, Dr. Feuerman enjoys traveling.
Manisha Patel, MD
Dr. Patel earned a double major at NYU in psychiatry & biology in 1997 & attended medical school at St. Georges School of Medicine where she earned her medical degree in 2001. She then went onto completing her residency at North Shore/Long Island Jewish on Long Island in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Her greatest passion is working with athletes & sports-related injuries – & working at MaxWell Medical provides her ample opportunity to do just that. While Dr. Patel has always been interested in health and wellness, it was her fascination with the musculoskeletal system, as well as the science of kinimatics that initially drew her to work in physical medicine. She finds that the majority of patients she treats are either misinformed (or uninformed altogether) about the importance of correct posture & proper biomechanics. To this end, she takes a very active role in educating her patients to help prevent further injuries. Dr. Patel enjoys working in MaxWell Medical’s multi-disciplinary setting because it allows her to monitor and keep track of patient’s progress and allows patients to benefit from the opinions of many different providers’ experience.
Chiropractors

Ron Nathanson, DC
At the age of 25, Dr. Nathanson was struck by a car while cycling. It resulted in numbness to his right arm & partial facial paralysis. He was finally able to recover with help of a chiropractor, who explained he was suffering from neurological pressure to the spine called Vertebral Subluxations. Within 1 week had sensation in his arm again & his facial paralysis was resolved. He realized his calling & graduated from chiropractic school in 1998. Dr. Nathanson believes that healing is an art form and must be enhanced to evolve treatment plans. To better his patients’ sessions, Dr. Nathanson has frequently attended workshops; like that for applied kinesiology of the outer extremities. Dr. Nathanson uses a form of network chiropractic, which is a non-traditional light touch approach to spinal correction and neurological decompression. When not seeing patients, Dr. Nathanson spends time with his wife & 3 children. He also enjoys kayaking, cycling, skiing & coaching little league baseball.

Nicholas Hall, DC
Dr. Hall has been practicing chiropractic since 2001. A former Division I athlete with a scientific education from Villanova University, and has a deep philosophical passion instilled in him at Life University. Dr. Hall utilizes a powerful and effective chiropractic methodology, which combines traditional Gonstead chiropractic analysis with modern physical medicine rehabilitative techniques. Dr. Hall is a certified fitness instructor through ISSA and is sensitive to the needs and special considerations of both casual athletes and those who depend on their bodies to make a living. Dr. Hall is also deeply passionate about the role optimal nutrition plays in health and healing. He has lectured extensively throughout New York City on the role of nutrition in health and wellness, and he incorporates much of this knowledge into his daily interactions with patients.
